Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask O'Neill). They claimed a resounding 70-0 win over the Schuyler Warriors. The victory was just business as usual for the Eagles, who after seven games remain undefeated this season.
O'Neill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Grady Welke out in front who rushed for 64 yards and a pair of scores. Welke got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 54 yards. Another rusher making a difference was Kaiden Martinez, who rushed for 72 yards and one touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: O'Neill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 285 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 202 rushing yards in eight consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 16 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Braxen Eichelberger, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
