The Weir Red Riders will face off against the Tyler Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Weir has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Weir fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Beaver Local on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Beavers by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Red Riders have lost by just one run.

Teddy Glyptis made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. He has become a key player for Weir: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 11-15 otherwise.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between Tyler and Cameron, and Tyler kept the tradition alive. The Knights came out on top against the Dragons by a score of 7-3 on Thursday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Brennon Miller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Miller was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brayden Neff, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Grady Shortridge, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Tyler hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Weir's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-16. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Tyler, their win bumped their record up to 15-16.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Weir has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tyler struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
