After two games on the road, St. John is heading back home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Bishop Ryan Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two weeks ago, St. John didn't have too much trouble with North Prairie co-op [Rolla/Rolette] on the road as they won 51-36.
St. John's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aubree Jeanotte, who scored 19 points along with three steals. The match was Jeanotte's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaycee Desjarlais, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bishop Ryan's ten-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Tuesday. They secured a 64-59 W over Westhope/Newburg. Bishop Ryan's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
St. John is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Bishop Ryan, their victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-5.
