Legacy is 8-2 against the Mustangs since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Legacy Longhorns will be playing in front of their home fans against the Shadow Ridge Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Legacy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven games.
Last Thursday, Legacy strolled past the Cowboys with points to spare, taking the game 58-44. Given Legacy's advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Cowboys are ranked 60th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Legacy can attribute much of their success to Rahjon Chambers, who scored 16 points, and Aaron Duke, who scored 13 points. Chambers is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played. D'Anthony Rabb was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Shadow Ridge was handed a three-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against the Warriors on Thursday. Shadow Ridge took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 69-37 win over the Warriors.
Legacy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. As for Shadow Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
Legacy came up short against the Mustangs in their previous matchup back in January, falling 60-54. Will Legacy have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
