The Maiden Blue Devils were the 61-46 winner over the Bandys Trojans when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Maiden fell to Bandys 58-53. Maiden has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though they lost, Maiden smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bandys only pulled down nine offensive rebounds.

Vaughan hasn't dropped below two blocks for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Swett, who scored seven points along with two steals.

Maiden on the road again on Tuesday and play against Bunker Hill at 8:00 p.m. on January 16th. Bunker Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 458th, while Maiden is ranked 202nd). As for Bandys, they will be playing at home against Newton-Conover at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Newton-Conover knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Bandys likes a good challenge.
