Newman Smith scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 76-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Leadership Tigers. The Trojans' loss continues a trend for the team, making it 11 in a row.

Caron McGee was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 17 on his way to 23 points for Trinity Leadership. McGee's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Goodwin, who posted eight points and 16 rebounds.

Newman Smith's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Trinity Leadership, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-13.

Newman Smith will square off against Reedy at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity Leadership, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-60 loss against Pinkston on the 27th.
