The Paseo Academy of Performing Arts Pirates will head out on the road to challenge the Central Blue Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Paseo Academy of Performing Arts' recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in December of 2023 after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 67-31 loss at the hands of Parkway South. Paseo Academy of Performing Arts was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-13.
Meanwhile, Central stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat East 101-33 on the road. Given Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while East is ranked 485th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Central can attribute much of their success to Brandon Moore, who scored 26 points along with nine steals and six assists, and Zahir Ragsdale, who scored 33 points along with eight steals. Moore has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Darren McHenry, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Paseo Academy of Performing Arts' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
