The Brookfield Bulldogs lost against the Lawson Cardinals back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Brookfield took a serious blow against Lawson, falling 65-37. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brookfield in their matchups with Lawson: they've now lost three in a row.
Brogan Crawford continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lawson, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Crawford has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Isaac Willoughby, who scored 16 points.
Brookfield has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Lawson, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brookfield will take on Fayette at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lawson, they and Penney will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Lawson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Wednesday.
