Make it seven blowout wins for the Paradise Honors Panthers this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Yuma 63-32 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-18.
Paradise Honors was led to victory by Christian Dubrey and Tj Harris. Dubrey scored 16 points along with six rebounds, while Harris scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals. Harris has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 19 times he's played. Antwan Gilkey was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Yuma lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nick Amador. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with three steals. Amador is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Reggie Antone, who scored eight points.
Yuma struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Paradise Honors is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Yuma, they dropped their record down to 9-5 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paradise Honors will take on Shadow Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shadow Mountain will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while Paradise Honors is ranked 89th). As for Yuma, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Moon Valley at 7:00 p.m. Moon Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 185 points over their last three contests.
