The Ridgeview Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 74-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of Middleburg. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Ridgeview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Deidrick Parsons. Despite the final result, he scored 29 points along with six assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Parsons has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of T'vario Willis, who scored 17 points.
Ridgeview's loss was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-14. As for Middleburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Ridgeview will head out on the road to take on West Nassau at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Nassau is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Middleburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against River City Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. River City Science Academy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
