The Riverside Prep Silver Knights will head out on the road to take on the University Prep Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University Prep took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Riverside Prep, who comes in off a win.
Even though Academy for Academic Excellence scored an imposing 67 points on Friday, Riverside Prep still came out on top. Riverside Prep strolled past Academy for Academic Excellence with points to spare, taking the game 81-67. The win was just what Riverside Prep needed coming off of a 83-43 loss in their prior matchup.
Raoul Churchill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 11 for 17 from beyond the arc en route to 48 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Marrion Brown was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 17 rebounds.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to University Prep, who are still winless after their 15th matchup. They took a 43-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hesperia Christian on Friday. University Prep has struggled against Hesperia Christian recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Riverside Prep's victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for University Prep, their loss was their 13th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-15.
Everything went Riverside Prep's way against University Prep in their previous matchup on January 5th as Riverside Prep made off with a 60-40 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Riverside Prep since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
