Dennis-Yarmouth Regional's game  on Wednesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. They blew past the Carver Crusaders 9-3. Considering the Dolphins have won four games by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Savannah Azoff made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned runs off   nine  hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. That  stolen base marked the first that  she has  snagged this season.
 In other batting news,  Alexa Buron was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  run. Another player making a difference was  Sophia Papa, who  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI.
Dennis-Yarmouth Regional has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record  this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.3 runs. As for Carver, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the  loss, which was their eighth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Looking ahead, Dennis-Yarmouth Regional is taking a road trip to  take on Nantucket  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Carver, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Cohasset  at 4:30  p.m.
