The East Longmeadow Spartans will be playing at home against the Pittsfield Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pittsfield took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on East Longmeadow, who comes in off a win.
East Longmeadow took care of business in their home opener on Monday (barely). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-41 win over Taconic.
Meanwhile, Pittsfield pushed their score all the way to 64 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 72-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chicopee Comp.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Makai Shepardson, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Malachi Perry, who scored 17 points.
East Longmeadow's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Pittsfield, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1.
