Softball Recap: Southern Lehigh's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Southern Lehigh dropped their record down to 14-8 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 5-0 to the Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders. The game marked the first time this season in which the Spartans were not able to get on the board.

As for Notre Dame-Green Pond, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.

For Notre Dame-Green Pond's part, not much got past Emily Szczepanski, who gave up just six hits to keep Southern Lehigh off the board.

At the plate, Riley Palank was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Sydney Ryan, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.

Southern Lehigh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Notre Dame-Green Pond, they will head out on the road to take on Northwestern Lehigh at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
