The Mesa Jackrabbits scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Westwood 62-34 on the road. Mesa has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season.
Amya Bekele continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Anaya Packer was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
The victory was the third in a row for Mesa, bringing their record for this year to 11-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Westwood, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Mesa will be playing at home against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westwood won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Red Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Red Mountain is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.6 points per game.
