Cameron has gone a perfect 10-0 against Clay-Battelle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Dragons will head out to square off against the Cee-Bees at 5:00 p.m. Cameron is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Cameron earned a 12-7 win over Catholic Central.

Hunter Evans and Soier Reed made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Evans struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Reed struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. Evans has become a key player for Cameron: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 3-5 otherwise. At bat, Evans scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Reed scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5.
In other batting news, Cameron let Wes Starcher and Anthony Bellanco run wild. Starcher scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3, while Bellanco scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Cameron is undefeated when Starcher posts two or more runs, but 1-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Zayde Long, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Clay-Battelle waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Warriors. While the Cee-Bees didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Cayden Strosnider was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he brought in this season.
Clay-Battelle's record now sits at 6-3. As for Cameron, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Cameron has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Clay-Battelle struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Cameron took their win against Clay-Battelle in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Cee-Bees have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
