While losing is never fun, Whitney can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1252nd, while Alamo Heights is ranked 106th).
Alamo Heights can attribute much of their success to Gunnar Jones, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals. Jones hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. JJ McCloskey was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 7 rebounds.
Whitney's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Alamo Heights, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Whitney is on the road again on Friday and play against Jarrell at 10:00 a.m. on December 1st. As for Alamo Heights, they will face off against Faith Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
