Sydney Vitangcol was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
In other batting news, Zhana Guenther and Reese Grudzielanek did most of the damage at the plate: Guenther went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs, while Grudzielanek went 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Grudzielanek a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Haag, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run.
Wisconsin Lutheran was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Berlin West only posted a batting average of .000.
Wisconsin Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Pewaukee, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Pewaukee has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Wisconsin Lutheran struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 1.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
