Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead R.J. Reynolds to victory, but perhaps none more so than Antoine Jones Jr., who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Jones Jr. has scored at least 25% of R.J. Reynolds' points. Andreas Kazakos was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
Parkland's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brock Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Jackson pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joshua Moore, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Parkland struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
R.J. Reynolds' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. As for Parkland, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
R.J. Reynolds will head out on the road to face off against Glenn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Parkland, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against East Forsyth at 7:30 p.m.
