This season hasn't been kind to the Millard Eagles, who are still winless after their 17th contest. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 78-54 walloping at the hands of Kanab on Wednesday. Millard has not had much luck with Kanab recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Kanab's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyle Brown led the charge by dropping a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Mortensen, who scored 24 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Millard bumped their record down to 0-17 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Kanab, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millard will take on Parowan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Parowan has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 13. As for Kanab, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against South Sevier at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in South Sevier's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
