The Northeastern Knights won the last time they faced the Blue River Valley Vikings, and things went their way on Saturday too. Northeastern walked away with a 55-47 win over Blue River Valley. Given Northeastern's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while Blue River Valley is ranked 370th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Landon Scarrette was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with six assists. Another player making a difference was Dae Lundy, who scored 11 points along with two steals.

Northeastern will be playing at home against Cambridge City Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cambridge City Lincoln is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Blue River Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Seton Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seton Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Blue River Valley likes a good challenge.
