Jimtown has gone a perfect 9-0 against Westview recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Jimmies will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Jimtown is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Jimtown's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Glenn.
Not much got past Kiyla Eberhart, who gave up just four hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Glenn off the board. Eberhart has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Skyler Pello, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Westview narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Prairie Heights 9-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.
Janissa Lehman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and six unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Briana Kaufman was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Rich, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs.
Jimtown's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Westview, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Jimtown hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .350. However, it's not like Westview struggles in that department as they've averaged .370. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Jimtown took their victory against Westview in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jimmies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
