Even though the Westran Hornets scored an imposing 58 points on Wednesday, the New Franklin Bulldogs still came out on top. New Franklin snuck past Westran with a 63-58 victory. That's another feather in the cap for New Franklin, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Hornets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dc Dale, who scored 11 points along with 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Jordan Black, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.
New Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Westran, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-1.
New Franklin will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Fayette at 7:45 p.m. Hopefully Fayette focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday. Westran is on the road again on Saturday and play against Slater at 4:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
