Reading hasn't had much luck against Twin Valley recently, but that could start to change  on Wednesday. Reading will head out to  face off against Twin Valley  at 4:00  p.m. Reading has given up an average of 14.4  runs per game this season, but Wednesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Reading came up short against  Berks Catholic on Tuesday, falling  17-1. The  matchup marked the Red KNights' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.
 Reading saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Angelia Torres, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2. That  hit marked the first that  Torres  got this season.
Meanwhile, Twin Valley might've scored the first runs on Tuesday, but it was Hamburg who claimed the real prize. Twin Valley fell just short of Hamburg by a score of  8-7. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost four in a row.
 Erin Cromwell put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  6.2 innings while giving up  four earned  (and four unearned) runs off   ten  hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time she's  pitched this season. She was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Maggie Krall made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, two  stolen bases,  and two  runs. That's the most  stolen bases  she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Hailie Barton, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Even though they lost, Twin Valley  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hamburg struck out ten times.
 This is the second loss in a row for Reading and  nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Twin Valley, they now  have a losing record of 1-2.
Wednesday's   game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Reading has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .508. However, it's not like Twin Valley struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .435. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Reading suffered a grim  15-0 defeat to Twin Valley  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024. Can Reading avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
