The Taylor Wildcats suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They took a serious blow against Tavares, falling 71-34. Taylor has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Taylor still got an impressive performance from Dylan Jackson, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.
Taylor has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Tavares, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Florida School for the Deaf & Blind is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Tavares, they will head out on the road to take on Pasco at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pasco is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
