The Springfield Bulldogs stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Northlake Christian 61-35. The win was familiar territory for Springfield who now have seven in a row.
Springfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaci Williams out in front who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Richardson, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and five blocks.
Springfield is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Northlake Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield will challenge the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Helena College and Career Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 72nd). As for Northlake Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Rebels at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st.
