The Patrick Henry Patriots will take on the Scripps Ranch Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Scripps Ranch took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Patrick Henry, who comes in off a win.
Patrick Henry will bounce into Friday's game after beating Cathedral Catholic, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Patriots came out on top against the Dons by a score of 12-7 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.
Teagan Forbes looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sivan Benami, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Mazon, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Patrick Henry hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Scripps Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Rancho Bernardo.
Scripps Ranch also got a good showing from Kenzie Johnson, who struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). Johnson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sarah Cornelissen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kennedy McCabe, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Scripps Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for Patrick Henry, the win got them back to even at 8-8-1.
Patrick Henry suffered a grim 18-6 defeat to Scripps Ranch in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
