Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carvers Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than K'moni Taylor, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Taylor has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Jerchel Geathers-Washington was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Hemingway bumped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Carvers Bay, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hemingway will take on Johnsonville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnsonville comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Carvers Bay, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Scott's Branch at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Scott's Branch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
