The Jarrell Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Sanger Indians at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jarrell will be strutting in after a victory while Sanger will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Jarrell strolled past Rockdale with points to spare, taking the game 51-36.
Aniya Taylor continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with 3 steals. The matchup was her 12th in a row with at least ten points. Lamyre' Fitch was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 assists.
Meanwhile, Sanger's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 32-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Celina.
Jarrell is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Sanger, they have fallen quite a ways from their 28-6 record last season and are now at 4-9.
Jarrell suffered a grim 43-21 defeat to Sanger in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Jarrell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
