Unionville is on a nine-game streak of home wins, while the Vanguards are on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Unionville Longhorns will take on the Sun Valley Vanguards at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Unionville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Coatesville 47-45.
Meanwhile, even though Science Leadership Academy at Beeber scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Sun Valley still came out on top. Sun Valley snuck past the Rockets with a 61-55 victory.
Unionville's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Sun Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
