Mesquite has gone 7-0 against St. Mary recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Mesquite Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the St. Mary's Knights at 5:30 p.m. Mesquite has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Mesquite is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Marcos de Niza 116-7. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Navae Guidry continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 14 for 19 on her way to 30 points in addition to eight steals and six boards. That's the most steals she has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Fisher, who went 9 of 12 on her way to 18 points along with six assists and six boards.
Mesquite smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 17 consecutive matches dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, St. Mary's unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against Mingus, falling 59-35.
Mesquite will have to keep a close watch on Gwen Carter and Ava Sierras, a pair of players who had a big impact on St. Mary's prior game. Carter posted 23 points, while Sierras put up ten points along with eight boards and three steals. That was a full 65.7% of St. Mary's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.
Mesquite's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for St. Mary's, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Mesquite hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 69.2 points per game. It's a different story for St. Mary's, though, as they've been averaging only 36.4 points. The only thing between Mesquite and another offensive beatdown is St. Mary's. Will they be able to keep them contained?
