Newton County Academy found a leader in Steven Duke as the team took down Jackson HomeSchool on Friday. Duke struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Coming up, Duke and Newton County Academy will welcome Discovery Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
