Jaden Pennington and Jayden Bicki made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Pennington pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Bicki struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). What's more, Pennington gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. At bat, Pennington scored three runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances, while Bicki scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, Pennington posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, American Leadership Academy-Johnston got a massive performance out of Teagan Nickerson, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Frank Henry was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Easton Booser was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Harrison Brown also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Wake Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for American Leadership Academy-Johnston, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.
