Basketball Recap: Hazlehurst Skates Past Hillcrest Christian with Ease

Hazlehurst's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Hillcrest Christian Cougars 61-22. The Indians' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Hazlehurst can attribute much of their success to Z'Kayla Martin, who posted 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of A'Lejha Dixon, who earned eight points.

The win snapped Hazlehurst's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-5 record. As for Hillcrest Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Hazlehurst wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 37-24 loss against Enterprise on the 20th. As for Hillcrest Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 43-12 defeat against Varsity Opponent on the 20th.
