Jayden Ortiz Dazzles in Wheeler Win
Jayden Ortiz was instrumental in extending Wheeler's winning streak to seven on Friday. Ortiz did his part (and then some), rushing for 220 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry for the 'W'. His longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards.
Griffith had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Ortiz it was a similar story. When Ortiz last faced the Panthers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry.

Moore must have Calumet New Tech's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Moore rushed for 223 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Warriors duked it out back in October of 2023.

Bryce Compton's big game helped extend Wheeler's winning streak to seven on Friday. Compton turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 75 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 63 yards.
Compton might have his next game, a road matchup with Boone Grove, circled on his calendar. Compton picked up 213 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Wolves duked it out back in September.

Allen Posts Huge Game in 38-36 Victory
Rounding off our Top Five is Eric Allen of Calumet New Tech. Allen picked up 65 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Calumet New Tech now has a winning record of 5-4. They and Mishawaka Marian are set to duel on Friday.
