If the Mize Bulldogs were riding high off their 70-44 takedown of Discovery Christian on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Mize was outmatched by Collins on the road and fell 77-43. Mize has not had much luck with Collins recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Jaylen Willingham was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 22 points, ten assists, and ten steals for Collins. Willingham has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Latreyveon Lowe, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Mize's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Collins, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.
Mize will head out on the road to face off against North Forrest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Collins, they will play host again and welcome Heidelberg, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
