Robinson has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Brandon Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Robinson suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Wharton at home and fell 70-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Robinson has scored all season.
Robinson's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dylan Russell, who scored six points along with six rebounds, and Zyon Floyd who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Behel, who scored five points.
Robinson struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Brandon, who are still winless after their 14th game. They took a serious blow against Sumner on Wednesday, falling 83-23. While losing is never fun, Brandon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 756th, while Sumner is ranked 212th).
Robinson's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Brandon, they bumped their record down to 0-14 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Robinson against Brandon when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 89-37 win. With Robinson ahead 52-25 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
