Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 10 to 3 on the offensive boards, a fact the George Walton Academy Bulldogs proved on Friday. They came out on top against Bethlehem Christian Academy by a score of 52-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as George Walton Academy also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
George Walton Academy found their leader in underclassman Isiah Sloan, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Sloan has scored at least a third of George Walton Academy's points. Logan Blalock was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Colin Oates, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Johnny Dickinson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. George Walton Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Stratford Academy at 3:30 p.m. on January 20th.
