R-S Central waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the East Burke Cavaliers with a sharp 11-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Hilltoppers, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

R-S Central pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for East Burke, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

R-S Central will challenge Hendersonville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Burke, they will take on West Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
