Basketball Recap: Patterson's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

There's no place like home for Patterson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 57-40 victory over the Grace Davis Spartans on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Patterson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trevon Turner led the charge by going 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points. The dominant performance also gave Turner a new career-high in assists (two). Another player making a difference was Jace Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Patterson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Patterson's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Grace Davis, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-4.

Patterson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-47 win against Modesto on the 21st. As for Grace Davis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-39 defeat against Kimball on the 21st.
