The Spackenkill Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Ellenville by a score of 59-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Spackenkill.
Blythe Mcquade continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 32 points along with five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Spackenkill's points. Another player making a difference was Maryclare Parker-stark, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Ellenville saw an underclassman step up: Nevaeh Ramos scored 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ramos has scored all season. Nashaly Vera was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Spackenkill's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. As for Ellenville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Spackenkill will head out on the road to take on the Ganders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Rondout Valley is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Ellenville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rhinebeck is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
