Last Saturday, St. Raphael Academy faced Mt. Pleasant in a battle between two of the state's top teams. St. Raphael Academy simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mt. Pleasant 41-0 at home. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point St. Raphael Academy had established a 28 point advantage.
St. Raphael Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aaron Julius led the charge by rushing for 76 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Kenneth Jacques was in the mix too, providing St. Raphael Academy with two touchdowns.
St. Raphael Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Ian Bing and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to East Greenwich, who are still winless after their sixth contest. Their rough 26-0 defeat to East Providence on Friday might stick with them for a while.

Everything went St. Raphael Academy's way against East Greenwich when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as St. Raphael Academy made off with a 20-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Raphael Academy since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
