After four games on the road, Northbrook is heading back home. They will take on the Cy-Fair Bobcats at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Northbrook comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Northbrook suffered their biggest loss since December 19, 2023 on Wednesday. They were dealt a 46-12 loss at the hands of Stratford. While losing is never fun, Northbrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1424th, while Stratford is ranked 458th).
Meanwhile, Cy-Fair's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 41-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cypress Creek.
Despite the loss, Cy-Fair had strong showings from Gresa Arapi, who scored four points along with three steals, and Kalis Allen, who scored four points.
Northbrook has been struggling recently, as they've lost 14 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. As for Cy-Fair, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-18.
Northbrook took a serious blow against Cy-Fair in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 54-12. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Northbrook was down 36-2.
