Monessen has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Mapletown Maples at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Monessen earned a 66-55 victory over the Pioneers.
Meanwhile, Mapletown's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 62-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Geibel Catholic.
Monessen's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Mapletown, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Monessen against the Maples in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 80-36 victory. Will Monessen repeat their success, or do the Maples have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
