The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mt. Eden, who took down 735th ranked Alameda, 29-28.
Kevin Mosi and Ryan Gordan provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Arroyo. The connection was good for 86 yards, the longest such play in West Alameda County - Shoreline this season.
Aaron Jones was the best wideout in the league this week as San Lorenzo fell to the Dons. Jones tallied one reception for 86 yards. Raymon Moore helped San Lorenzo's passing attack out by catching one ball for 18 yards.
Isaac Tapia put up the best numbers through the air as Arroyo beat the Rebels. He finished with seven completions for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Tapia's favorite target this week was Gordan, who caught two passes for 48 yards.
Joshua Handy was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 10 carries, he ran for 78 yards as Tennyson fell to the Dons. Teammate Quinzell Moore added to the ground attack by rushing for 61 yards.
The Lancers' Gilberto Magallanes and Datron Smith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading West Alameda County - Shoreline in both passing and receiving yards. Magallanes has thrown for 1016 yards this season, while Smith, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 24 catches for 437 yards. The Monarchs' Devante McGowan leads the league in rushing yards with 734.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Tennyson takes on Mt. Eden. The Lancers are in first place, while Paul Perenon's team is in third place.
There should be lots of points scored when Tennyson and the Monarchs face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Lancers comes in having scored 213 this season, while Mt. Eden has scored 141. Tennyson scored 31 points last week as it bested Piedmont.
The Lancers extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Highlanders, 31-14. The win marks fifth in a row for the Tennyson.
