After having lost a blowout to Escalante in their previous matchup, Pojoaque Valley were happy to find some success on Thursday. Pojoaque Valley were able to grind out a solid win over McCurdy, winning 35-26.
Pojoaque Valley got off to a sluggish start, posting 0 total points in the first half. McCurdy couldn't get anything started offensively, either, which meant the halftime score sat untouched at 0-0. The offense for Pojoaque Valley put that tie to bed by coming up with 35 points in the second half to win the game. The victory bumped their record up to 2-3. McCurdy are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5.
Pojoaque Valley will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against St. Pius X in two weeks at 7:00 PM. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. McCurdy will look to defend their home turf next week against Mission Achievement & Success at 1:00 PM. The team will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
