The Clarksville Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Northeast Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
On Friday, Clarksville lost to the Hawks at home by a decisive 54-39 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Clarksville has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Clarksville had strong showings from Kirk Weatherford, who scored 14 points, and Kellen J Howard, who scored 15 points. Howard hasn't dropped below 15 points for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Sheldon Huber, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Northeast pushed their score all the way to 56 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 70-56 to Clarksville. Northeast was down 51-31 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Clarksville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Northeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.
