Inland Lakes' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Wallace, who almost dropped a triple-double on 26 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists. Wallace has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Sam Schoonmaker, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Mackinaw City's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6. As for Inland Lakes, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mackinaw City will face off against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
