The Patterson Lumberjacks''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 16-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Donaldsonville. Patterson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Donaldsonville apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Blake Turner was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 48 yards and two touchdowns.
Patterson's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-0 E.D. White and 7-2 Archbishop Shaw (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 74.1% over those games). As for Donaldsonville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Patterson will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Berwick at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Berwick is ranked 206th, while Patterson is ranked 199th). Donaldsonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
