The Kingsland Knights won the last time they faced the Schaeffer Academy Lions, and things went their way on Friday too. Kingsland walked away with a 50-42 victory over Schaeffer Academy. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kingsland.
When it comes to explaining why Schaeffer Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gabriella Buehler. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Buehler has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Winona Morgan, who scored five points along with three steals.
Kingsland is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Schaeffer Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingsland won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Rushford-Peterson at 12:30 p.m. on January 20th. Rushford-Peterson is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Schaeffer Academy, Schaeffer Academy and Houston will face off at 1:00 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Houston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
